Wat Chong Samaesan has prepared this Privacy Policy to inform users and visitors of Wat Chong Samaesan’s policy regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data. This policy is in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (“PDPA”), as well as other relevant laws and regulations.

Wat Chong Samaesan will retain your personal data for the purposes stated in this policy for as long as necessary. The Temple may continue to retain and use your personal data for up to 10 years after your relationship with the Temple has ended, only as necessary for the purposes of collecting the personal data or as required by law.

Wat Chong Samaesan may collect, use, and/or disclose your personal data where necessary for legitimate interests, with your consent, or under other lawful grounds, for the following purposes:

3. To improve temple services, activities, communications, and public relations.
4. To communicate with you, respond to inquiries, and provide assistance.

6. To conduct research and development for improving temple services and activities.
7. To provide services and contact you by communication channels or postal delivery, such as activity notifications, donation information, or temple news.
8. To comply with agreements or arrangements.
9. To comply with the law and/or for public interest.
10. To prevent or suppress danger to life, body, or health of any person.
If you do not provide your personal data to Wat Chong Samaesan, the Temple may not be able to provide certain services or assistance in some cases.
4. Protection of Personal Data
Wat Chong Samaesan will protect your personal data with appropriate technical and administrative measures to ensure the security of personal data processing and to prevent data breaches, loss, unauthorized access, destruction, use, alteration, modification, misuse, or disclosure outside the stated purposes or without proper authority.
You are free to give or withhold consent for Wat Chong Samaesan to collect, use, or disclose your personal data. The Temple will not make consent a condition for receiving services if such personal data is not necessary or relevant to the service.
Wat Chong Samaesan also requires its personnel, representatives, and persons who receive personal data from the Temple to keep your personal data confidential and secure according to the measures set by the Temple.
If the personal data owner is a minor under the Civil and Commercial Code, consent must be obtained from the person with parental authority who has the power to act on behalf of the minor. If the minor is under 10 years old, consent must be obtained directly from the person with parental authority.
If the personal data owner is an incompetent or quasi-incompetent person, consent must be obtained from the legal guardian or curator who has the authority to act on behalf of such person.
Wat Chong Samaesan will take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is accurate, up to date, complete, and not misleading.
