Thao Wessuwan of Wat Chong Samaesan

Thao Wessuwan is one of the four Great Heavenly Kings (Cāturmahārājika Devas) and the Lord of the Yakshas. He is revered as a protector of Buddhism and a guardian of the human world, helping to ward off misfortune and negative influences. He is also regarded as a deity of wealth and prosperity, possessing immense treasures and abundance.
Thao Wessuwan appears in various religious and cultural traditions. He is known as Kubera in India, Jambhala in Tibetan Buddhism, and Duowen Tianwang (Vaiśravaṇa) in Chinese tradition. As a result, he is widely respected and worshipped in many countries throughout Asia.
